1. Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Unity Global Inc ("Unity Global," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you visit unityglobalinc.com (the "Site"), submit an inquiry through our contact form, or complete identity verification in connection with our consulting services. It applies regardless of where you are located, and includes specific rights available to residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and California, as applicable.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

Contact form submissions: full name, email address, organization name, area of interest, and any message content you submit.
Engagement and correspondence data: information you share with us by email or otherwise in the course of a consulting engagement.

2.2 Identity verification information (processed via Sumsub)

Where a consulting engagement requires us to confirm your identity or the identity of your organization's representatives — for example, to satisfy KYC, AML, counter-terrorist-financing, sanctions-screening, or other legal and regulatory obligations — we use Sumsub (Sum and Substance Ltd.) as our identity verification provider. If you are asked to complete identity verification, Sumsub will collect and process, on our behalf:

Government-issued identification documents (e.g. passport, driver's license, national ID card);
A live selfie photograph and/or short video used for facial biometric matching and liveness detection;
Proof-of-address documents, where required;
Personal details extracted from the above (e.g. full name, date of birth, nationality, document number, address);
Verification outcome data (e.g. match/no-match result, risk flags, watchlist or sanctions screening results).

This data is submitted directly to Sumsub's secure infrastructure through their verification widget or SDK. Unity Global receives the verification result and the minimum underlying data necessary to complete the engagement and satisfy our compliance obligations; we do not independently store copies of your raw ID documents or biometric templates outside of what Sumsub provides back to us for our compliance records.

Sumsub acts as a data processor / service provider on our behalf for this purpose, and also independently determines certain processing details as required by applicable law (for example, to comply with its own regulatory obligations). 2.3 Biometric information — additional notice and consent

Facial imagery collected for liveness detection and face-match verification may constitute "biometric information" or "biometric identifiers" under certain laws (for example, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act, and Washington's biometric privacy law). Before any biometric data is captured:

We (or Sumsub, on our behalf) will inform you that biometric data is being collected and the specific purpose (identity verification and fraud prevention);
We will obtain your affirmative consent prior to collection;
Biometric data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the verification purpose or comply with a legal retention obligation, and is deleted or destroyed thereafter in accordance with our retention schedule and Sumsub's own policies;
We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric data, and we do not disclose it except to Sumsub for verification purposes, as required by law, or with your consent.

2.4 Automatically collected information

Analytics and cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies (such as an analytics service) to understand how visitors use the Site — for example, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and time spent on pages. See Section 6 (Cookies) below.
Server logs: Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security and operational purposes.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Visitors)

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

Sumsub — for identity verification, as described in Section 2.2, acting as our processor/service provider and, where legally required, as an independent controller for its own compliance obligations.
Service providers — hosting, form-submission handling, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Legal and regulatory authorities — where required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request (including AML/sanctions reporting obligations).

6. International Data Transfers

Because we and our service providers (including Sumsub) operate internationally, your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not have data protection laws equivalent to those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms to protect data transferred internationally.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

8. Data Retention

Contact form data: retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping, then deleted or anonymized.
Identity verification data: retained for the period required by applicable AML/KYC recordkeeping laws (commonly five years from the end of the business relationship, though the exact period depends on the jurisdictions and regulations governing the engagement), after which it is deleted or securely destroyed by us and/or Sumsub in accordance with Sumsub's retention practices.
Analytics data: retained per our analytics provider's standard retention settings, typically in aggregated or pseudonymized form after an initial period.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data, and we require Sumsub and other service providers to maintain appropriate security measures (Sumsub maintains industry-standard certifications for its verification infrastructure). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights

10.1 EEA / UK residents (GDPR)

You have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction on our use of your personal data; to receive a portable copy of certain data; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing); and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10.2 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction of your personal information; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

10.3 All other jurisdictions

Regardless of location, you may contact us using the details below to ask what data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, or ask questions about this policy, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are intended for business use by adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
